1. Automation Of Activity

With Amazon Halo Band, tracking activities are easier now than ever before. Instead of having to remember to adjust your smart devices to whatever exercise you want to at that moment, it will automatically start tacking one you are.

Although, unlike walking or running will automatically be listed under activities that can be changed to match what you want it to reflect in your activities history. If you have ever forgotten to charge your smart device like a smartwatch or just forgot it at home just when you made it to the gym, it is a pain. The Halo app allows for activities that are missing to be entered manually.

2. Lab

The Lab tab comprises various tasks such as workouts, sleep tips, meditation to boost focus, tone of communication, and much more. The Lab helps the user to develop other ways of handling various types of obligations. The changes implemented with Labs are small enough that they will not take much effort to complete but will not go unnoticed.

Joining a Lab is easy after setting up the app. Tap the tab for Labs then you will see the title “What are you interested in?” tap on the interest that you would like to look more into.

Then a drop-down menu will drop saying “Specific interest area” do the same as before tap more if needed.

Once you find the one you like, tap on it and it will take you to “DETAILS” this is where you will find more information. Tap “GET STARTED” take you to “SETUP” asking if you “Need a nudge?” This will set up an alarm for a daily reminder to perform the Lab that you have chosen.

Tapping “START LAB” to get started right away.

For myself, I picked “150-Minute Fix” this Lab I will do weekly for 30 to 50 minutes for 4 days a week the Halo Band will track this and recorded it into my activity.

3. Tone analyzer

The Tone in the Amazon Halo app is nothing like we have ever seen before, or at least I have not. By setting up a Tone Profile within that the Halo app will listen to the user’s voice only.

The Halo app can tell the differences between the different emotions from the tone of your voice and the words you say. It displays the moods with a few words to make one aware of how they may sound to those around them.

The Halo Band works best for those that speak American English only at the moment. With that said, if you are learning English, this may help improve your learning experience. Amazon side “Halo is always getting smarter.”

Final thoughts!

I have really enjoyed the Halo Band and app so far; it has given me advice on how to improve my overall lifestyle. I have to say that without the membership you can still use the Halo Band and App, but it will limit you to sleep time, heart rate, and step tracking only. Some may say that Amazon is late on arrival when it comes to introducing the Halo Band, but waiting and watch is one of the smartest moves they could have made.
